The “studio” for my virtual classroom
When covid19 officially became a worldwide pandemic in March last year I’m sure we all thought that by the time we saw in 2021 we’d be looking back on lockdown 1.0 as a bit of a novelty that caused many of us to rethink our priorities and perhaps make some long overdue adjustments to our work/life balance. Well the novelty has well and truly worn off by now and as we get used to lockdown 3.0, covid21 can just jog on any time now, thanks.
One of those adjustments has been the shift from classroom to online learning. It has taken some getting used to, and has been challenging for all of us, but resilience has shone through and somehow we’ve made it work. And now that it looks as though we’re going to have to live with it for some considerable time to come it really is time for all of us to make the most of it and get back to work as normally as possible.
That’s easily said, but I know for many people lockdown has been financially crippling and generous training budgets aren’t going to be at the top of most people’s list of priorities right now.
So here’s my bit to try and kick-start 2021. From February I’ll be offering a massive 80% reduction on the cost of a place on one of my virtual classroom courses each month for the next few months. First off is the QuarkXPress Foundation course scheduled for February 16th. The normal cost of a place on this one-day course is £225+vat (£270 incl vat) but for the February course only, you can have a place for just £45 +vat (that’s just £54 incl vat). Places are limited, so it will be first-come, first-served.
